Breathtaking Brazil captured in time-lapse video

But if you can’t make the trip down in person, photographer Joe Capra has you covered.  This Los Angeles-based photographer travels the world capturing high resolution footage for various clients. He recently found himself in Brazil where he spent a week capturing HD film on a Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 5D Mark II, and a PhaseOne IQ180. Five months of editing followed the visit.

The result? This Rio-licious time-lapse video.

The video hits the highlights, showing Christ the Redeemer shining against a purple swirled sky, waves lapping Copacabana beach, locals busy about their business, and Sugarloaf Mountain marking time with shine and shadow as the sun shifts. Interspersed is the rush of Iguazu with mist wafting over lush forest and rainbows spanning the roaring river.
