Sample Itinerary

Welcome to Mexico! On arrival, you’ll be met by an SA Representative who will greet you and transfer with you to your hotel, a hacienda situated at the edge of Chichen Itza. Settle in for a relaxing evening at leisure.

Recommended Hotel Accommodations

Beat the crowds and enjoy a VIP sunrise tour of Chichen Itza, a site world renown for the sophistication of its structures and high level of astronomical and engineering accomplishments. Your guide will teach you the ins and outs of the complex, allowing you to best capture the essence of this spectacular Mayan site. As the day grows warmer, you’ll head to Cenote Ik-kil, one of Yucatan’s most enchanting freshwater underground pools, for a refreshing dip. Finally, before heading back to your hotel, explore the rich culture and history of the quaint and colorful (also former colonial capital of the Yucatan Peninsula), Valladolid.

Today you’ll tour the Maya city of Uxmal, where you’ll explore the Palace of the Governors (considered by many as the finest example of classic Mayan architecture) and the mystical Pyramid of the magician, which consists of 5 superimposed temples. On return to the heart of Merida, you’ll have the afternoon free to explore at leisure or your may opt to add a local Cantinas cultural experience, exploring some of the more historical venues in town for a refreshing beverage and snacks.

Today you’ll head eastward towards the Caribbean, exploring in route the Riviera Maya archaeological site, Coba, amongst the largest Mayan city-ruins in the Yucatan. This site is hidden in lush rainforest and teeming with both wildlife and mystery, noting its pyramidal temples and stelae resemble that of Tikal (Guatemala) more so than ancient sites of closer proximity! Finally, visit one of the Yucatan’s newly discovered cenotes hidden in the jungle, where you can enjoy a quick swim before carrying onward to the beach.

After breakfast you’ll travel nearly 25mins to the archaeological site Tulum, which offers a spectacular view over the Caribbean boasting templates that honor the gods of wind and rain. There’s no better way to end a privately guided tour of such an incredible ancient site with a swim in turquoise waters below, lined by white sand!

Enjoy a day at leisure lounging on Tulum’s tropical white sand beaches.

When necessary, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
