Welcome to Colombia! On arrival, you’ll be met by an SA Representative and transferred to your hotel for check in. Enjoy the evening at leisure.

After breakfast, you’ll be met by your private expert guide and explore some of the city’s most interesting highlights together; walk the cobblestoned streets of La Candelaria, peruse the colorful Paloquemano Market (one of the largest in country!), observe an impressive exhibition at one of the country’s most prestigious museums (ie. Gold or Botero Museum), and travel to the top of Monserrate Hill for an exceptional panoramic city view.

You’ll be transferred to the Bogota airport for your flight to Pereira, the gateway to Colombia’s coffee country, nestled at the foothills of the Andes Mountain range. On arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for an evening at leisure.
Today’s adventure will introduce you to Colombian coffee (a tasty treat!), well-known across the globe as Colombia is currently the 3rd largest producer of coffee. You’ll visit a local favorite, the Finca Don Manolo, a family-owned plantation which still utilizes practices passed down from their ancestors. During your tour, learn about the origins and history of Colombian coffee, while experiencing its production from seed to cup with samples along the way.
Spend the day exploring some of the region’s most interesting historical towns, Salento and Filandia, where your guide will highlight the beautiful colonial architecture and main attractions. Then, visit the picturesque Cocora Valley, home to the wax palm, which can measure up to 190ft tall (some of the tallest in the world) and live over 120yrs! During your tour, you’ll learn all about the importance of this valley and the efforts being taken to protect the local ecosystem.
When necessary, you’ll be transferred to the airport to board your flight to the Caribbean. Welcome to Cartagena de Indias, a colorful, colonial coastal town filled with vibrant culture, stunning views and delicious cuisine! On arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in the colonial quarters where you’ll spend an evening at leisure.

With your expert guide, peruse the cobblestoned lined streets of the Old Town of Cartagena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which was once an important trade center for South America in the 16th century – there’s no better way to get to know a city than by foot! During your explorations, your guide will also highlight some of the finer street foods of the city, noting Cartagena is also well known for their rich culinary delights!

After breakfast, you’ll transfer to the dock to board your private boat and journey towards the Rosario Islands, an archipelago just off the Colombia coast. During your excursion, enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the islands as well as snorkel opportunities along the coral. You’ll also stop off at one of the islands for an included lunch.
