If you’re feeling up to it, you may want to explore the barrio around your hotel and sample the food in one of the city’s up-and-coming eateries.

In the morning you will be transferred to the La Paz Airport for your flight to the town of Uyuni. You’ll be met upon arrival in Uyuni and depart tour of the silver mining ghost town of Pulacayo, now a World Industrial Heritage site. Next you’ll voyage into the heart of the world’s largest salt flat, visiting Fish Island (Isla del Pescado) known for its giant cacti and breathtaking panoramic views of the flats. Enjoy an unforgettable sunset over the salt flats before retiring to your unique salt hotel, relaxing and taking in this incredible place.

After a hearty breakfast, navigate across the flats to the nearby Tunupa volcano. Here, you will visit the tiny community of Coquesa and walk to a set of caves that serve as a burial chamber for ancient mummies of the local Aymara culture of centuries past. Following a gourmet lunch on the salt flats, you’ll return to your salt hotel for the evening, stopping for photos and to stretch your legs at will. The evening is spent enjoying the sunset and a wonderful dinner on-site at your hotel.

At the appropriate time this morning, you’ll be collected and driven to the Uyuni airport for your return flight to La Paz. On arrival, you’ll begin a private half-day tour of the Bolivian capital’s highlights. You’ll explore the city’s most historic neighborhoods before venturing onwards to the unique landscapes of Moon Valley. Afterwards you’ll take a ride on one of the ultra-modern cable cars (Bolivia’s answer to the subway), enjoying incredible bird’s eye views of bustling La Paz, before returning to your hotel for the evening.

In the morning, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight to the city of Cuzco, Peru. Cuzco is one of the most charming towns in all of South America, and extremely easy for visitors to navigate on foot. During your tour of Cuzco, the capital of the Incan Empire, you'll visit Sacsayhuaman, an immense Incan complex with impressive stonework, and Koricancha, one of the most important Incan temples (the walls were once actually coated in gold!). You’ll also stop at Cuzco's Cathedral where you'll learn about the intricacies of the Cuzco school of art and view fascinating historical artefacts.

Prepare to have your breath taken away! Your Sacred Valley exploration will include visits to the ancient circular agricultural terraces of Moray, the salt mines at Maras, and the ruins and village of Ollantaytambo. From Ollantaytambo, you’ll be treated to a scenic train ride through the Sacred Valley to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will stay in comfort to await the highlight of our tour.

This is one for your bucket list! Uncover the mystical secrets of Machu Picchu during a guided private tour of this Incan citadel. You'll have the opportunity to visit the most important parts of the ruins to wonder at how they were constructed. You can also hike to the top of Huayna Picchu for a bird's eye view of the ruins and valley beneath you. The steep path takes about an hour and a half to ascend. After a day you’ll remember for the rest of your life, you’ll depart from Aguas Calientes by train for Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival at the train station you will be met and transferred to your Cuzco hotel.

One of our representatives will pick you up from your hotel at the appropriate time today and drive you to the Cuzco airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival, connect independently to your international flight home.
